[영어공부 혼자하기] 영어문장 속 기본어순에 대해서 알아보자.

영어를 공부하는데 있어서 저는 영어 어순이 머리로는 이해는 되는데 항상 실전에서는 뒤죽박죽 되는 부분 중 하나입니다.

한 번이라도 더 많은 문장을 보는 것만이 답이 아닐까 싶습니다.

기본 어순과 부사의 문장 속 위치에 대해서 간단히 정리해 보았습니다. 퀴즈도 있음 :)

기본 어순

 

① 장소(place)는 문장 안에서 주로 동사 다음에 위치합니다.

• cycle to work.
• live in Manchester.

 

② 동사가 목적어를 가지고 있다면, 동사+목적어 다음에 위치합니다.

• He made new friends on the course.
• Maria celebrated her promotion with her family at home.

 

③ 시간(time)은 종종 장소(place) 뒤에 위치하지만 문장의 맨 앞에 위치할 수도 있습니다.

• They went to the market early to buy flowers.
• Every morning, Steve eats cereal for breakfast.
• Tonight, there will be fireworks on the beach to celebrate the New Year.

 

④ 빈도를 나타내는 부사는 동사 바로 앞에 함께 위치합니다.

• Simon usually goes for a walk after work.
• Martina never walks alone at night.
• We sometimes celebrate the weekend by having a barbecue.

 

 

부사의 어순

 

① 문장에서 부사는 동사를 꾸며주기 위해 사용됩니다. 부사와 동사는 함께 위치합니다.

• Britain will probably leave the EU in 2017.

 

② 동사가 1개의 단어로 이루어져 있으면 부사는 동사 앞에 위치합니다.

• We made the beds and  we also cleaned the house before going out.
• Anne hardly ever goes away on holiday. She hates being stopped at security in the airport for so long.
• Paul usually palys basketball on Wednesday.

 

③ 부사는 Be동사 다음에 위치합니다.

• We are never going to make it on time. The train leaves at 8 o'clock.
• You aren't ususlly this quiet. What's wrong?

 

④ 문장 안에 만약 동사가 2개라면 동사들 사이에 위치합니다.

• We can't even go outside because of the bad weather.
• He is definately going to the concert. He bought his ticket last year.

⑤ 부사 'both / all' 을 같은 위치에 위치합니다.

• The parents all clapped as the children finished their concert performance. (동사 앞)
• Karl and Sue are both doctor. (be동사 뒤)
• John and David have both applied to join the police force. (동사 사이에)

 

⑥ 문장 반복을 대신해서 동사가 문장의 맨 뒤에 쓰이면 부사는 동사의 앞에 사용됩니다.

• He always says he'll come, but he never does. → he never comes
• You know I love you and I always will. → I will always love you
